THE CREATION – We Are Paintermen

An extremely scarce 1967  first pressing of The Creation’s freakbeat classic album, We Are Paintermen, on the German Hit-Ton label.  Though the band was English, their debut album was originally only released in Germany and Denmark.  Its legend has grown mightily over the nearly 50 years since release, and copies are in high demand.  This example is the nicest we’ve seen, with a Near Mint disc and Near Mint- cover.  The German Copies were numbered on the back cover, and this is #2182 (there is a faint stamp from the previous owner in the top right back cover.)  A beautiful keeper copy of a rare and great album.
